- for the trees the Sun (light) is their ideal, so they strive as high as they can;
- for the animals best living conditions are their ideal: water, light, food, warmth;
- for a child his parents are his ideal;
- at school the favourite teacher is an ideal for the pupil;
- in a love relationship the beloved is an ideal;
- in sport the highest achievments and the best sportsmen are ideals;
- pop stars and actors are ideals for beauty and specific skills;
- for a reasonable person love, wisdom, truth are highest ideals.
QUESTIONS
1. Text: Write in your own beautiful wordsa poem using “upwards rise”, “reach the height”, “the top in sight”, “be in flight”.
2. Drawing: Draw a picture of a person striving upwards. Draw one of your ideals. Draw an illustration to the exercise.
3. Questions: What ideals do you have? What/who can be an ideal? How high can one jump?
4. Experience: Tell us of situations and experiences when you have found some ideal/something great/for some ideal. What was the feeling?
5. Imagination: Imagine, while you exercise, that you jump as high as to reach the ceiling of the room/ the clouds/ the sky/ the stars.
6. Affirmation: Write your own positive affirmation for Jumping. For example: I bow to the greatness of nature.
